Peter Jay Alter

Peter Alter has practiced law in Glastonbury for over 40 years, building a practice based on client relationship, handling matter in probate and estate planning, land use, real estate development, business matters and commercial litigation. He takes great pride in creating enduring attorney-client relationship build on cooperation and trust. Mr. Alter has represented entrepreneurial business people in commercial matter and has represented developers and municipalities before boards and commissions, and in judicial appeals of land use decisions, throughout Connecticut.

In 2004, Peter was elected to serve as Probate Judge for what is now the Glastonbury-Hebron Probate District. Since his initial election, he was elected twice to continue to service his community. He retired in January 2015 after 10 years in office.
