W. Joseph Hope

Joseph Hope has extensive experience representing and advising clients in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including contract negotiation, due diligence, tax deferred exchanges and complex title issues. Mr. Hope regularly represents commercial landlords and tenants in lease drafting and negotiation, and leasing disputes. He also counsels small and midsized businesses on issues related to formation, compliance, contract negotiation and drafting, and business transactions.

 

Mr. Hope’s litigation practice focuses on representing clients in commercial and real estate litigation matters. He regularly litigates commercial evictions and landlord collection matters, quiet title actions, and municipal tax and zoning appeals. He also handles commercial collections, actions pursuant to Connecticut’s prejudgment remedy statute, mechanic’s lien and contested foreclosures, contract and business disputes.

 

Mr. Hope attended the University of Miami, School of Law, as a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient and was awarded the Dean’s Certificate for Academic Achievement for Legal Research and Writing. During law school Mr. Hope interned with the University of Miami Office of the General Counsel and The Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office, Miami, Florida.
